Elephant reaches for tasty treat during tourist elephant ride, one of many tourist activities in and along the Mae Taeng River in Chiang Mai area of northern Thailand. It a tributary of the Chao Phraya River. It originates in North Thailand near the border of Burma and flows through the mountainous region of the Chiang Mai Province. It is a popular river for white water rafting due to the existence of lots of average grade rapids.
