Andesile-porphyry, diorite-porphyry, and diorite.—Porphj-ritic rocks containing phe-nocrysts of plagioclase, orthoclase, hornblende, and biotite in a fine-grained ground-mass of plagioclase, quartz, and chlorite. The rock shows transitions to trachyticforms which may be called syenite-porphyry. Localities: Sills in Squaw Creek andin Ruby Basin, at the Needles, and in the region of the Vanocker laccolith.
