El-Sebil, Cairo, Egypt, 1928. The Sabil-Kuttab of Katkhuda, built in 1744. Abdel Katkhuda was a wealthy patron of architecture. The building housed a fountain and an elementary school where young children would learn the Koran. Published in Promenades à travers Le Caire, Illustrated by Louis Cabanes, 1928.
