The facts are, that the heads of this big company, which is inter-related with the St. Louis Wholesale Cut Flower Company, are all, what you would call, pretty hard- headed buyers. They go into -a thing from top to bottom; and then start in again, going from the bottom to the top. Before placing the order with us, competitive estimates on the greenhouses, were received. It was evident that the compet- ing greenhouse firms appreciated what a feather in their caps this job would be. No amount of talking on our part, however, could have convinced them of this fact. It was our houses themselves that did the con- vincing. They are their own best convincers. On the other hand, should you read over the speci- fications for those two big §°eparate houses, ^ach 60 feet by 400 feet, and see, item for item, what they are getting for the money, you would say it was a mighty low figure.
