Former MP Chris Leslie standing for Nottingham East takes the picture of comedian Eddie Izzard Eddie Izzard visited Nottingham today, Saturday 24th April, in support of local Labour candidates Lilian Greenwood (Nottingham South former MP Alan Simpson) and Chris Leslie (Nottingham East, former MP John Heppell) with their general election campaign. The group met at the Council House in Market Square and slowly walked towards the Victoria Centre interacting with potential voters as they went. Mr Izzard proved very popular indeed.
