Of the many new varieties intro- duced during the past few years, the four here offered are without excep- tion the grandest and finest. All are of large size, of rich 'and distinct colors, and of strong, vigorous habit. With the exception of Mme. Crozy, which has been distributed very largely last season, the other vari- eties, on account of the high price asked for them last season and owing to the scarcity of the stock, were sent out only in limited numbers, and will, at the prices we now quote them, prove a paying investment, as the demand is certain to be very gTeat. Alphonse Bouvier. This is, all points considered, probably the finest variety yet intro- duced. It is a remarkably luxuriant and free grower, in rich ground attaining a height of six to seven feet. In color it is of a rich brilliant crimson, almost approaching scarlet when it first opens, changing to a deep dazzling crimson as the flower fully develops. It has a peculiar habit of dropping the flower cluster a trifle as the second flowering shoot begins to push above the first, and the shoots flower three or four times in succession, a large plant frequently having as manjf as thirty or forty of the large brilliant clusters of flowers at one time ; the foliage is of a rich deep green color. Price, 60 cts. each ; § per doz.; $ per 100. Ready now. Captaine P. de Snzzoni. The finest yellow spotted variety yet introduced. Its flowers are very large, with broad rounded petals produced in large spikes ; the gi'ound color is of a rich canary yellow, while the entire flower is spotted with cinnamon red in such a man- ner as to intensify the yellow. Its habit'of growth is entirely distinct from all others, the foliage being similar to that of the Abysinian Banana, and
