LANDGIRL'S DAY: EVERYDAY LIFE AND AGRICULTURE IN WEST SUSSEX, ENGLAND, UK, 1944 - 29 year old Land Girl Rosalind Cox (second form right) and her colleagues enjoy coffee, sandwiches and a chat in the candle-lit interior of 400 year old Prattendens Cottage in Bury, West Sussex. The cottage was occupied by the radio star Mabel Constanduros before the war. These get-togethers occur every Monday evening, giving the Land Girls the opportunity to relax and talk to one another
