The remains of the British soldiers were found in 2009 including those of Private Christopher Douglas Elphick when farmer Didier Guerle, whose father had told him never to plough a nearby field as a mark of respect for the fallen, came across a canister and a boot with his metal detector. The remains were reinterred in the Cemetery on the 23rd April 2013 with full military honours
