The lower bor-der of this ligament constitutes the-upper boundary of the ventricle of thelarynx, and the fold of mucous mem-brane caused by its projection hasbeen called the superior or falsechorda vocalis. The inferior thyro-arytenoid ligaments, or true chordavocales, are thicker than the superior, and like them composed of yellowelastic tissue.
