Leather Objects.—Fig. 152 is the representation of afragment of a curious object, consisting of two portions ofthick leather kept together by stout square-cut copper nails are broader at one end than the other, and passcompletely through the layers of leather, after which theyappear to be slightly riveted. The relic, as it stands, con-tains six nails, arranged in two rows, three in each row, andmeasures 2| by 2 inches, but the marks of additional nailsare seen all round.
