Promptly upon Americas entry into thewar, Goodyear devoted great effort tothe production of gas masks, airplane,automobile and truck tires, balloons anddirigibles, urgently needed by our armyand navy. This, of course, necessitated a cut in ourpassenger car tire output, for generaldistribution. Later, there came the Government orderlimiting all tire makers to 50 per cent oftheir normal output. This restriction has since been , as normal conditions are beingrestored, we are increasing our pro-duction steadily in an effort to meetthe greatly increased demand for Good-year Tires.
