Dawmill Colliery Arley,near Nuneaton being demolished, Dawmill was the last working coal mine in Warwickshire. The mine closed in February 2013 putting over 700 miners out of work. Local residents are trying to preserve the winding tower and gear as a reminder of the days of coal. In the 1980's there were riots under the Thatcher government when mine closures were taking place through the country.
