In the early stages of WW2 the Jews in nazi occupied europe were rounded up and forced into crowded ghettoes. When the decision was made to kill them all they were deported to extermination centres to be murdered. This image shows a clothing stall in the Lodz Ghetto. This photo was probably taken early in the life of the ghetto as this abundance did not last long.
