Military Merit Order - a 2nd Class Cross with Swords A former Commander's Cross of 1870/71 from the workshop of the Eduard Quellhorst firm in Munich reworked in 1914 by the Hemmerle Brothers as a 2nd Class with Swords to be re-awarded during the World War. The cross of the order in 18-carat gold with separately inset, re-engraved flames and enamelling executed in the finest tradition of Munich's goldsmiths. Only a very small chip in the upper tip of the reverse left cross arm, the Swords screw-affixed to the agraffe, the reverse marked with "GEB., Additional-Rights-Clearance-Info-Not-Available
