'Rodney and Langara', c1785. Scene from the Battle of Cape St Vincent, a naval battle between a British fleet commanded by George Brydges Rodney (1718-1792) and a Spanish fleet commanded by Juan Francisco de Lángara y Huarte (1736-1806), fought on 16 January 1780.
