Esmeralda Quinonez-Jauregui, 11-year-old leukemia survivor, boards a KC-135 Stratotanker display as an honorary pilot and member of the 384th Air Refueling Squadron, with fellow aircrew June 23, 2013, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. Esmeralda was selected for the "Pilot for a Day" program through a partnership with Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kan., and joined the McConnell community to see its daily operations.
