LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee class 5690 "Leander" Leander is one of the three-cylinder Jubilee class locomotives designed by Sir William Stanier for express work on the London, Midland & Scottish Railway. The locomotives were given the LMS power classification 5XP and were often referred to as 5XP's. In BR days the classification was changed to 6P5F. Leander was one of the was allocated to Bristol Barrow Road shed for a number of years and regularly worked through Birmingham on trains on the NE-SW cross-country route between Bristol, Sheffield, Leeds & York.
