An Ottoman silver-mounted yataghan,dated 1810. The blade with narrow grooves on both sides along the back and inscription cartouches on each face inlaid in gold,dated "1225"(=1810)on one side. Grip and blade mountings made of gilt silver,set with filigree,riveted(broken on one side)walrus ivory grip scales. Two-piece silver scabbard with relief and filigree decoration and a wooden insert.
