Berlin's most famous artist colonies, the Kunsthaus Tacheles,

BERLIN - October 29: Tyhe graffiti-covered walls of the Tacheles artists' collective on October 29, 2011 in Berlin, Germany. The Tacheles, which was formed as a squat by artists seeking to save the building from demolition in the 1990s, provides studio and exhibition space for artists while at the same remaining freely open to the public. The unique collective, which is also a major tourist attraction, is threatened by closure because the new owner, HSH Nordbank, wants to evict the artists in order to develop the site.
