Army Spc. Zak Brinkhaus, a combat medic specialist with 223rd Infantry Regiment, received a coin for administering the very first vaccine at the mass distribution center at California State University, Los Angeles, Feb. 15, 2021. Brinkhaus was awarded the coin by Army Maj. Gen. Pablo Estrada Jr., commander of 46th Military Police Command, Michigan National Guard.
