Mr. Fields re-sided for many years on his farmeast of Moivnt Union in Mifflin Coun-ty. His second wif(! was Susan Robi-son, of Newton Hamilton, He builtthe brick house now owned and oc-cupied by Mrs. Mary Noland in 1877,and came to- Mount Union in LOUIS MORGAN was bom on theColgate farm niar Shirleysburg, July6, 1823 and died in Mount Union, 185]Sjov. 23, 1897. He married MariaSechrist in Shi-leysburg, Nov. Shortly after marriage hecame to Mount Unicn and settled inthe old stone house (the oldesthouse in town), where they residedfor some time. Mr. Morgan was aboatman on the canal for many erscted the house in which helong lived and die, on the site of residence now, in was watchman in the Narrowsfor several years, and for a long-time baggage transfer agent at the R. station here. He was a faithfulmember, as well as sexton, of the church of Mount Union for manyyears. Of seven children, Mrs. of town alone survives, theothers dying in infancy. Mrs. Mor-gan died Nov. 7. 1901. REV. N. A. McDonald, d. d., was born .Jan. CO, 1830 and died , 1897. He was for many missionary to Slam, rspresentingthe
