A Chalcidian helmet, Thrace/North Greece, 2nd half 5th - 4th century Bronze with greenish patina. Tall helmet forged in one piece with the calotte on top. There is a square hole on the left side of the forehead with remnants of solder for the missing feather plume. Face cutout with embossed eyebrows. Angular cheek pieces on the sides. The right cheek piece has an old repair in the form of two reinforcing straps soldered on to it. Round ear cutouts. Straight neck protector with a short bent rim. Height 21 cm.
