H.—Mac, a ball player by nature, due perhaps to the nationality to which he belongs, completes the batting list. His performances duringI he past season have all been creditable, for on variousoccasions has he helped to pull his team mates to thefront. Being a southpaw, he was held by Nic as arelief man. Mac is a fighter through and through, and one of the kind that never gives up until the good spirit was always evident from the coachingbox where lie steered many a runner around the circuit, lie will he a valuable man with another year of trainingand we shall expect great things of EYLENS, L. J.—Nuck, the sterling twirler, won forhimself the home that had only the year before beenopen for Heinie Morrow, by his steady consistenthurling. In tight places Eylens was at his best, andseldom did he ever show unsteadiness when under astrain. His high, speedy inshoot has caused many anexperienced batter to step back only to have a strikecalled by the umpire. There were not many gamesthat he did not succeed in causing a goodly number ofmen to hit the air three times. Eylens has two yearsahead of him as Varsity pitcher, and should by that timebe one of Purdues celebrities. Liehr
