La Motosacoche Brecetee en Tous Pays

Advertising poster for "La Motosacoche." The style of poster from before WWI was to have important people giving credence to a product, often in caricature. The man leaning over the handle bars looks like Czar Nicolas II and the Frenchman on the left looks like Marshal Petain, but at this time in his career he was probably no more than a little known Colonel. The other characters are from Japan, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Egypt and Hungary. Motosacoche was founded in 1899, by Henri and Armand Dufaux, in Geneva, Switzerland. Motosacoche was once the biggest Swiss motorcycle manufacturer, known also for its MAG (Motosacoche Acacias Genève) proprietary-engines used by other European motorcycle manufacturers.
