If it is desired to work the grain over or ship iteither by boat, car or wagon, it is spouted into the six sinks /, in whichstand the iron boots of six elevators g, by which the grain is again elevatedto the attic and thrown into the hoppers, k, from which it is dropped intothe six scale hoppers, /, where it is weighed and thence spouted out intothe shipping bins m, which are only twenty-seven feet high, and thence,by the shipping spouts ?i, put outside of the building, either into boats,cars or wagons; or if it is only being aired, it is spouted from these bins backinto the receiving elevators and again taken to the storage bins.
