A view of one of the tower blocks on the infamous Ferrier estate in Kidbrooke, London.
The Ferrier Estate, Kidbrooke was completed in 1972 by the GLC. One of the last of its kind to be constructed, it was built using pre fabricated industrial building methods, and combines a series of tower-blocks and enclosed squares of maisonette style flats. The Estate gained notoriety for crime, neglect and vandalism and is soon to be demolished as part of a major regeneration and investment scheme, due to this regeneration many of the properties are now empty and boarded up.
