Treaty of Campo Formio. Signed on 17 October 1797 at Villa Manin (Passariano, Italy), by Martius Mastrilli, Louis Cobenzl, Maximilian Mervelot and Ignatius Degelmann, as Austrian representatives, and Napoleon Bonaparte as representative of the French Directory. It marked the end of the First Coalition, with the victory of Napoleon's campaigns in Italy. France gained territories belonging to the Austrians.
