A hardj% medium-sized tree, with immense leaves, and large, white flowers, 4 to 6 inches in diameter, appearing in June. $ M. Thompsoniana. THOMPSON'S MAGNOLIA. B. A hybrid between M. glauca and M. tripetela. Tree of medium size, spreading habit, with large, fine foliage. The flowers, which appear in June, and continue during the summer, are large, creamy-white, and very fi-agrant, A charming species, requiring some protection in this latitude in winter. $ M. M, M.
