Sant Marti de Palafrugell. XVI-XVIII centuries. Gothic and baroque.
It is a large building featuring elements from various eras. It has a single nave with side chapels and choir feet, polygonal apse and tile roof gable. The main façade, facing west, has a rectangular portal with elements of classical type: two pilasters on either side with upper entablature and a bas-relief dedicated to St. Martin in the center of a rectangle bounded on his throne by pilasters and moldings classic. There are also decorative hemispheres. In the central part of the facade is a simple rose, and at the top a gallery of arches. The ship is divided into four sections by three pointed arches, covered with a groin vault and side chapels and the presbytery vault. The steeple rises to the southwest corner of the temple. Is very high, although it is unfinished and has a square base and octagonal upper body. Located above the four walls of the angles of the square base are four cylindrical towers. At the bottom of the speaker is a door bell with the date 1762 and the coat of Palafrugell in relief. Another tower called "old tower" rises on the north side of the church.
