The Prodigal lost Son. The story of the lost son, portrayed in four scenes on one painting. On the left the son says goodbye to his father, behind that he drinks a table with a woman outside of a inn. To the right of this, the son can be seen as a pig powder and extremely the right the return home of the Son, welcoming the father and slaughtering the fattened calf. The canvas is part of a series of parabels painted for the Lutheran church in Leiden (see also NRS. SK-A-2959 and SK-A-2960).
