Richmond Bridge as viewed from Petersham Meadow. Pleasure trips run regularly, from Richmond Pier, upstream to Hampton Court and Windsor and downstream to Greenwich via Kew Gardens. One of the most picturesque walks in the Richmond area is along the Thames path from Richmond to Teddington lock passing Petersham Meadows en route. Petersham Meadows were a part of the estate attached to Ham House from the early 17th century until the late 19th century and cattle have grazed there from at least that time.
