The Goblin and The Sexton
English novelist Charles Dickens (1837-187)0 published his first novel "The Pickwick Papers" in 10 installments of three chapters each. The first installment appeared in 1836. The illustrator was Hablot Browne. Browne's pseudonym was Phiz. Dickens' was Boz. Note the name Phiz underneath this illustration of Browne titled "The Goblin and The Sexton"
