Outer harbour and village at Charlestown, St Austell, Cornwall, South West England, UK


This famous film and television location (Poldark TV series etc.) was built 1793-1801 for local industrialist Charles Rashleigh. The dock is still used to export China clay and refit tall ships. masts of Tall ship 'Kaskelot" visible in dry dock. Local fishing boats known as 'tosher' are moored in the outer harbour. The TV series Poldark was filmed here
