A feature of the wheel exhibit wasthe display of finished wheels, with parts broken from their rimsin such a way as to show the strength of the metal used in therims, hubs and spokes, and the depth of the chill. The samplewheels shown included plate wheels for interurban service, platewheels for ordinary city use, and,a new style of key seat designedto save the strength of the axle. The display was made under thejoint auspices of the Missouri Car & Foundry Company, the Wells. NEW MGUIRE SWEEPERS & French Company and the Terre Haute Car & ManufacturingCompany, as the output of all of these concerns is now controlledby the American Car & Foundry Company. THE AMERICAN RAILWAY SUPPLY COMPANY, ofNew York, maker of badges, had on exhibition a very handsomesample board of conductors and motormens badges in bronze,nickel and aluminum finish.
