Wright Brother's glider replica. US navy Lieutenant Commander Klas Ohman completing a flight in a replica of the 1902 Wright Glider. Ohman is practising to fly the aircraft during the 'Return to Kitty Hawk' commemorative event that took place in October 2002. The 1902 Wright Glider was the third glider built by the Wright Brothers and the first aircraft to incorporate yaw, pitch and roll controls. It is considered by most aviation historians to be a significant milestone in aviation history. This replica was built by the Wright Brothers' Aeroplane Company, an educational organisation established to further the interests of young people in aviation careers. Photographed on 3rd October 2002.
