Buddhist monk's car on display at Thien Mu Pagoda Complex on the Perfume River, Hue, Thua Thien Hue province, central Vietnam, Southeast Asia. Also known as the Pagoda of the Celestial Lady. On 11 June 1963 Thich Quang Duc drove to Saigon, where he burned himself to death in protest of the government's discrimination against Buddhists.
