Untouched sand and blue skies at Kynance Cove beach, The Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall

Kynance Cove beach is considered by some to be the jewel in Cornwall's crown. Serpentine rocks, white sand and turquoise water make this beach up there with some of the finest in the world. Walkers gain amazing clifftop views of the cove, which is near The Lizard (England's most southerly point), as it is on the route of the South West Coast Path. The area has a unique semi-tropical micro climate, with unusual species of grass, heather, gorse and other natural species flourishing in the mild Atlantic climate.
