Arkansas: The leaf spot form of this disease was more severe in Arkansas when I niadc observations in June than I have ever seen it any year in the fourteen years that I have been v.^rking on apple diseases. It v/as particularly severe on trees weakened by scale, (j. ). Ohio: The spore discharge of rot was noted to be coincident v/ith that of apple scab. Serio\.^ defoliation reported from south- ern Ohio. (Thomas). Indiana: In well kept young orchards canlcers are absent. Black rot occurred as a fruit rot following blotch on Northwestern Greening, Oldenburg (Butchess), and Ben Davis, and following scab.
