Taken from the Kohekohe loop track, which is a short track off the main escarpment track. the latter runs from Paekakariki to Pukerua Bay and is a spectacular section of the national north-south walkway, Te Araroa Trail. The three roads show typical NZ driving conditions. SH1 is the main road out of Wellington (a new highway is about to open inland, which will make SH1 a secondary road)).
