Their fiesh is bright red, remarkably firm, luscious, and sugary. They are wonderfully solid and their rind is unusually thin, being scarcely more than half an inch thick on a melon of enormous size. They are enormously productive. In 1883 John G. Miller, of Georgia, raised three Cuban Queens, weighing, respectively, Si lbs., 97 lbs., and III lbs. The melons are perfectly round in shape, striped light and dark green, uniformly of fair market size ; the fiesh is bright red and sweet.
