Preveli Monastery is an Greek orthodox monestary 170 meter above the Libyan Sea at the south coast of Crete . In World War II the monks rescued soldiers from Australia and New Zealand from the German army. Das Kloster Preveli liegt hoch über dem libyschen Meer an der Südküste von Kreta. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg retteten die Mönche viele Soldaten aus Australien und Neuseeland vor den deutschen Truppen.
