The committee made important contractswith the military and civil authorities of Americaand France, established Overseas Headquarters inParis, made extensive observations and carried amessage of service to American Jews and Gentilesin the trenches and rest camps behind the Commission left in charge of the Paris officeits able secretary, under whose direction provisionwas made for all Jewish men with the AmericanExpeditionary Forces on the high holy days.
