ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 19, 2016) A Marine from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conducts safety checks before his final launch off the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). Wasp is deployed as part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, which is offloading the 22nd MEU after completing a six-month deployment to the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operations.
