Red Sea Anemone fish, Amphiprion bicinctus. Picture taken in Marsa Imbarak, South Red Sea, Egypt.

Clownfish or Anemone fish are associated with different species of anemones. This is a good example for symbiosis, a relationship between different species, which benefits both parties. The anemone fish is protected by the stinging cells of the anemone and in return protects its anemone from predatory fish. Clownfish are immune to the stinging cells of their host, as they develop a protective mucus layer.
