Woman and Pan with Drum. Johan Nicolai Carsten Ravn ( September 9, 1859 in Copenhagen - March 5, 1914, together) was a Danish joke artist and poster artist. About the 1890s Ravn was among the group of artists who first promoted the early lithographed posters in Denmark. The earliest posters from his hand, however, originated from the 1880s when he drew posters for theater, variety and entertainment at, among other things, Casino and Tivoli
