Built in 1929, the plant was modeled after a 7th Century ancient Assyrian palace. It features a 1,750-foot-long ( meter) crenulated concrete wall decorated with heraldic griffins and bas-reliefs of Babylonian princes carved into the stone between impressive pillars and towers. When the tire factory closed in 1978, a developer restored the original structures as the unique site for name-brand outlet stores, offices and a hotel.
