Mount Rushmore National Park in South Dakota showing the carved heads of US Presidents, (l-r) Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln. Located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, the massive sculpture was the work of Gutzon Borglum during the 1927 to 1941 timeline. Each presidential head is 60 feet tall while the entire park covers 1278 acres or square miles.
