The accompanying illustration, which nnfortnnately we wereunable to secure in time lor our issue of October 12th, shows aview of the exhibit which the Stuart-Howland of New Yorkand Boston, made at the street railway convention. The arrange-ment of materials is quite novel. The was fenced in by tops of poles fitted with cross arms,brasses, pins, and glass insulators showing a full assortment of all. Three posts were erected, also, for thedisplay of samples of the different styles of bracket aims. .\t theback of the booth was an attractive exhilut of the Peerlesslamps, with vari-colored globes, and the Helios-Upton arc lampswere also shown. There was an extensive line of overhead material in differentt)-pes. carbon brushes, fare registers, trolley catchers, gears andpinions, and a trolley wheel that is guaranteed to make 5,000 excellent souvenir in the shape of a bronze paper weight wasgiven to friends of the company and it was so good that the de-mand exceeded the supply. The exhibit was in charge of W. Smith, manager of the railroad department, assistedby Mr. William Wampler, Middle States r»prcsenlalive. and C. White, manager of the factory. The company was not able to make as fine a display as had beenintended, as much of its line and other material was lost intrans
