Cerny, Miss Vir- ginia Cerny and Miss Bruno, served re- freshments to the members. After a tour through his well-kept rose-growing establishment, the mem- bers gave a rising vote of thanks to Mr. Pilcher and the ladies for their enter- tainment. Various Notes. The Retail Florists' Association held its monthly meeting June 9 at Mission Inn Garden and, owing to the small at- tendance, all business matters were laid aside until next meeting. There was only a general talk on business for Mothers' day and Memorial day. Why St. Louis retailers take so little inter- est in attending the meetings of an as- sociation that will benefit them in their business was also a subject for discus- sion. President Weber and Secretary Ruff were both at a loss to know why. Now that the busy season is at an end, another effort will be made to bring to- gether all the members at the next meeting. The florists' dance at the W. A. Rowc Co. greenhouses, at Kirkwood, June 14, was a big success. The county florists came out in good numbers, and many from the city
