S. 1867, p. 52, Head and thorax dark brown slightly mixed with greyish, the head rather more rufous ; abdomen reddish brown more or less suffused with fuscous, the anal tuft more rufous. Eore wiug greyish brown suffused with black-brown and irrorated with metallic blue scales especially on the veins and termcn, the veins streaked with black; subbasal line represented by double black strise from costa and cell; antemedial line double filled in with greyish, angled outwards below costa, then oblique, waved; clavi- form defined by black ; orbicular and reniform defined by black, the former greyish with dark centre, round, the latter with its inner part dark, its outer dull rufous ; a waved, dark lino oblique from costa to below cell; postmedial line double filled in with greyish, bent outwards below costa, then minutely dentate, excurved to vein 4, then incurved, some white points beyond it on.
